The 2018 Asia-Pacific Robot Competition (ABU Robocon 2018) will be held on August 26, 2018 in Ninh Binh City.

The host team of Vietnam has 2 participating teams from Lac Hong University (Ho Chi Minh City).
The theme of ABU Robocon 2018 is given by Vietnam as "throwing", based on the folk game of the Northwestern people. The control robot will hand over the shuttlecock to the automatic robot and throw it over the remaining rings on the field.
The team that throws the Golden shuttlecock through the round and lands on the platter will be the winner

The opening ceremony, the group stage matches were broadcast live from 12h00 - 15h10 on VTV2 channel
The finals and the awards ceremony were broadcast live from 15:30 - 17:00 on VTV1 and VTV2.
